Crispy spicy Chicken in beer

This slow cooked chicken recipe uses a full can of beer and any cut of chicken you like to create a very versatile chicken dish that goes great with rice or mashed potatoes.


Seasoned to perfection with garlic, paprika and dried herbs.


This juicy Beer Sauce Chicken are coated in a sweet and savoury beer sauce packed with flavourful ingredients.

This crispy beer chicken is one tasty treat for your taste buds!
Brined in beer and herbs, these chicken thighs are so flavourful and the beer sauce is to die for!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 5 to 6 chicken tights or legs or 1 whole or cut up chicken

  • 1 can any kind of beer

  • 1/2 tsp grated fresh garlic

  • 1 tbs paprika

  • 1 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp chilly flakes

  • any other spices you'd like

DIRECTIONS:

  • Start by marinating the chicken legs in a mixture of spices above. Allow to marinate for 3 hours

  • Fry the chicken legs until golden on both sides

  • Pour in the can of beer, and allow to cook through lowering at the same time the heat.

  • Serve it on a bed of rice, mushed potatoes or any side dish you fancy

Tips:
1. This recipe will work with other chicken cuts too! Use either chicken breast or chicken thighs.
2. You can also make beer chicken in the oven. Once browned, transfer the chicken pieces (with the marinade) to an oven-safe baking dish. 
3. Bake for 35 minutes at 170C
